  A. Steel pillar in site¡G
 
  1. Pillar needs to be in site and connected in place, pillars have to be placed accordingly to avoid affecting the operation flow route.

  2. Pillar numbers have to be identified, direction, size and quality of pillar need to be re-examined.

  3. Pillars should be laid down horizontally on operation platform, and well supported.

  B. Pre-installation confirmation of steel pillar¡G
 
  1. Confirming of pillar number, direction and size.

  2. Reconfirmation of lifting points and devices.

  3. If higher precision is required, pillar manufacturer should connect pillar segments and lift it upright by crane, and let the main contractor, pillar manufacturer and sub-contractor to examined the pillar precision and verticality when hung in mid air, and record the results for installation consideration.
 
  C. Securing of installation platform¡G
 
  1. According to the pillar-center markings on ground, place the platform base(H350, 3100X4100), at the same time trying to adjust it as horizontal as possible.

  2. Secondly by using the 4 screw jacks, securing the adjustment platform on top of the platform base.

  3. Using H200 steel to for the # shape on the adjustment platform.
 
  D. Lifting and installation of steel pillar¡G
 
  1. First step:
    a. By using X,Y support points from pillar center, identifying the centers of both axis.
    b. align the adjustment frame with the pillar center point.
    c. align the base of adjustment frame with X.Y axis from pillar as precise as possible.
    ¡°Platform should be well secured and free from any movements.

  2. Second step:
    a. Examing the Re-bar cage, carefully lift up the steel pillar and slowly lower
    down the pillar into the excavated point of installation.
    b. Re-bar cage has to be temporarily secured on the platform by inserting steel bars through it.

  3. Third step:
    a. Identify the precise re-bar length for lifting.
    b. Lift up the re-bars and weld them securely onto the cage.
    c. Slowly and carefully lower the cage until the desired depth.
    d. Secure the cage by welding it securely onto the support platform.

  4. Fourth step:
    Lift up the steel pillar and lower it into the excavated point of installation to the desired depth(Depth marked on pillar)

  5. 5. Final step:
    a. Continue to lower the pillar
    b. Temporarily secure the steel pillar on H shape frame.
    c. Identify the pillar center point.
    d. Adjust the pillar center by the adjustment platform devices.
    e. Place the (30T) underwater jack.
    f. Adjust the position of pillar by using underwater jack
    g. Measure depth of sludge and install Tremie pipe and circulation device.
